Week 16 “A higher Ideal”

In Week 16 Haanel states in 16:5 “Wealth should never be desired as an end, but simply as a means of accomplishing an end” In my attempt to catch up in MKMMA I am reblogging this inspirational blog from Virginia Perl. She does a wonderful job, an enlightening experience, hope you enjoy it!

Week 16 – The Hero’s Journey – Just Be Yourself

I am Nature’s greatest miracle.  Yes, I am realizing that my mother was right all along.  She always told me, “Just be yourself.”  She’d say, “Don’t try to be like someone else when you are already perfect.”

Og writes, “Vain attempts to imitate others no longer do I make.”

Be yourself!

Now that this thought has really started to sink into my being, I have found my voice.  I am writing with so much more clarity, so much more honesty, and wisdom, and bravery.  Og suggests proclaiming your uniqueness to the world, which I’ve done, (read my week 15 blog.)  The flash cards were the key to my awakening to my uniqueness.  I’m so happy I can finally see that.  I read my flash cards twice a day.  I do not want to lose this feeling that embraces who I really am.

Live happily ever after!

Live happily ever after!

My second awakening for this week was finding my ideal.  I always thought my purpose was to write a book.  I thought the book would create wealth and I would be rich and live happily ever after.  But this is only half of it.

Haanel writes, “Wealth should then never be desired as an end, but simply as a means of accomplishing an end.  Success is contingent upon a higher ideal than the mere accumulation of riches, and he who aspires to such success must formulate an ideal for which he is willing to strive….There must be a definite fixed purpose, an ideal.”

Aha!  Light bulb alert!

Ta Da!

Ta Da!

Haanel is saying that the wealth I acquire should be used to give back.  This I will do by forming a foundation which creates world awareness of the damage caused by the toxins in our food, and will fight for children’s rights to organic school lunches.

My book and the ensuing riches are the means to the end.  The foundation is my ideal.

I wonder what I’m going to learn next week.  I can hardly wait.

Week 14 All thought is creative

This week in the Master keys Haanel speaks again about thoughts. He says,”Thought is a spiritual activity and is therefore endowed with creative power. This does not mean that some thought is creative, but that all thought is creative. This same principle can be brought into operation in a negative way, through the process of denial. Haanel says,” The conscious and subconscious mind are but two phrases of action in connection with one mind.” He states, “The relationship of the subconscious to the conscious is quite analogous to that existing between a weather vane and the atmosphere.” And,”Just as the least pressure of the atmosphere causes an action on the part of the weather vane, so does the least thought entertained by the conscious mind produce in your subconscious mind action in exact proportion to the depth of feeling characterizing the thought and intensity with which the thought is indulged.” For my Movie assignment I chose to watch “Cool Runnings” as my movie of choice from the list provided. One good example of what Haanel is refering to is witnessed in the character “Junior Bevan”. He seems to be a timid character but with a great passion, like the other sprinters, to represent his nation at the olympics. He manages to help the team get to the Olympics by selling his car but he doesn’t tell his father what he has done or where he is going. His father thinks he has gone away to start work for “Webster,Webster & Cohen.” But Junior’s father is alerted to the fact that he is at the Olympics and arrives to take him home to Jamaica. Junior Bevan seems to have had a fear of his father in the past and he thought he had to do what his father wanted like “a scared little boy” but on this occasion when he is confronted by his father he stands up and says,“I am a MAN father and I am an Olympian.” Junior Bevan produced at the right moment “the action in exact proportion to the depth of feeling characterizing the thought and the intensity with which the thought is indulged.” With some help from Yul Brynner, Junior Bevan changed his thoughts about himself and replaced them with the thoughts and conditions he wanted. We can do the same; It just takes courage and persistence!

Haanel: “It follow that if you deny unsatisfactory conditions, you are withdrawing the creative power of thought from these conditions. You are cutting them away at the root. You are sapping their vitality.”

Week 13 “Who are you?”

This weeks Webinar starts with a short passage from “Alice in Wonderland where she is asked, “Who are you?” Alice is at a crossroad and asks the Cheshire Cat, “Which road should I take?” The Cheshire Cat asks, “Where do you want to go?” and Alice replies, “I don’t know!” The Cheshire Cat then replies, “Well then it doesn’t matter does it! I thought what a great analogy with life. We spend a lot of time procrastinating and indecisive about what we want to do with our lives so when we get to a crossroad we don’t know which road to take because we haven’t decided who we are and what we want to be. We take the first turn that comes along or we can’t decide which road to take and wonder why quite often we find ourselves going around in circles.  Solution: The Habituator ; “His Persistent Pursuit of his Passion and Purpose Perpetuates Perfection….The Habituator presses forward, honing the tools of self-discovery; mastery; enthusiastically moving towards his magnificence. As we press forward in Fidelity with the sits, cards, DMP, The 7 Day Mental Diet, Masterminding, The Blueprint Builder and related exercises we are becoming The Hero of our own Journey; Changing the world within. We are reminded this week that we are half way on our MKMMA Journey: at the point of no return! I have had conflicting thoughts about what I should be doing with my life but I am feeling confident. I am half way up this mountain and the prize is at the top; ” The prizes of life are at the end of each journey, not near the beginning.” “I am nature’s greatest miracle. I am not on this earth by chance. I am here for a purpose and that purpose is to grow into a mountain, not to shrink to a grain of sand.”  It is time for action; “The bridge to manifestation is Action.”

The vehicle to help me take the necessary action has presented itself this week. I am challenged this week to put NARC into action Using the Law of Dual Thought. I realized as soon as I heard this that I was procrastinating. I am putting in place the law of practice. I am going to enjoy myself. I am feeling grateful and adding to my cards regularly. I am grateful for NARC! I am grateful for MKMMA. I am grateful for the MKMMA Guides and members. I am grateful for the man in the mirror. “for I am unique.” “Who are you?” “I am nature’s greatest miracle.”

Week 12 Challenges

This week the same struggles have been evident that were resident at the commencement of the MKMMA; struggles around time and also attitude. It is such a busy time of the year but life is always busy; always problems and challenges. Norman Vincent Peale once said,”Problems are a sign of life; the more problems you’ve got, the more life you’ve got.” It is easy to get distracted when challenges come your way and fall back into old habits feeling sorry for yourself but I have come to the realisation that I have to fight on for success; do the work, no one else can do it for me. The MKMMA is helping us to train our brain to think differently, to be the ‘Watchman at the gate’ of the ‘subby’. We have been doing some revision this week and focusing on the 7 Laws of the Mind, putting yourself in the dream; using all that we’ve learnt, leveraging the 5 senses & the Mental Diet to keep our focus forward & not allowing ourselves to be dragged back by the old blueprint.  The failures of the past, or negative thoughts from others are being substituted with good thoughts, loving thoughts in our minds. We have the right information;  the ability to change the thought or substitute it with something else; “The Law of Substitution.” One great idea for dealing with these intruders was given in the webinar this week; “Bear hugs kettle,” by writing this on a card and reading it when negative thoughts present themselves. This week I also found inspiration from the blogs of other MKMMA members: Virginia Perl
