Week 19 Powerful beyond measure

This is a reblog of Sandra’s Mk Week 19 – Brain Freeze

Oh my Goodness

fear is a funny thing‘Fear is a powerful form of thought. It paralyzes the nerve centres, thus affecting the circulation of the blood.

This, in turn, paralyzes the muscular system, so that fear affects the entire being, body, brain and nerve, physical, mental and muscular.’ (Haanel 19:Intro)

This week has been one of my biggest challenges yet on the journey to launching my own creative personal development course! Starting to shoot the launch videos!!!! Arggghhhhh! Brain Freeze!!!!!!! For those that know me you will understand what I mean! But for those that don’t, I generally do not even like my photo taken, so to do a video of myself felt like sticking pins in my eyes!

Even though I had the help and encouragement of Sam Warner from ‘Get Your Message Across‘, my initial feelings were one of FEAR!! Panic!! and I wanted to cry! :( My body was screaming at me, ‘I can’t do this‘ as physical, mental and muscular paralysis felt like it was taking over. How do you get past those feelings of fear?

Oh my goodness‘Of course the way to overcome fear is to become conscious of power. What is this mysterious vital force which we I call power? We I do not know, but then, neither do we I know what electricity is.’ (Haanel 19:Intro)

Well isn’t that just dandy! If you don’t know what it is how do you become conscious of it? But wait, there’s more. Phew! In Chapter 19 Haanel explains that ‘Thought is the vital force’ or energy, and energy is created by connecting two opposite poles to create a polarity. ‘……To change the form of manifestation we I must change the polarity. This is the principle of causation.’ (Haanel 19:26 part)In other words it was time to change my thinking and concentrate on my power to overcome fear, and master this. Time to put my money where my mouth is. It was time to dig deep, and I’m talking deep…..REAL deep!!!! Nothing in my ego mind wanted to make a video of myself! I was so grateful that Sam offered to leave her light boxes with me for a few days so I could practice by myself. And I did. I practiced, and practiced, and practiced! And brother did I need to. :(

Perfect Practice Prevents Poor Performance!

I can’t begin to tell you how many outtakes there are….. but I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wahoooo!!!!!!! Admittedly I am nowhere near finished but at least I feel I have gained control of my mind. I just couldn’t let the last few years of tremendous effort and focused concentration go down the toilet because of a pathetic fear of seeing myself on camera. Breathe Sandra, Breathe!! :)

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”      Maryanne Williamson
